Welcome to the Oconee
Farmers Market
The 2017 season of the Market will begin April 1st & we'll be there thru Nov. 25th!

The Market is from open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday in front of the Oconee County Courthouse in downtown Watkinsville, GA.

The Oconee Farmers Market is operated by and for its members, who are the original producers of the items sold at the market.  The market is designed to support local and regional farmers and gardeners by providing a direct marketing venue for their produce and value-added agricultural products.

Only NE Georgia growers or producers within an approximate 100-mile radius of Oconee County may sell goods at the Oconee Farmers Market.  This insures the market remains a viable local community market, not subject to warehousing operations & supplies only local and the very freshest produce to our customers.  It supports local agriculture and agritourism for the benefit of the agribusiness sector of the NE GA area.

A grower or producer is any person who is directly involved in the production of marketable items such as fruits, vegetables, edible grains, nuts, berries, plants, flowers &/or value-added agricultural products.

"Fields of Promise" 2016 Annual Dinner

Thanks to all of you sponsors that supported the dinner & individuals that purchased tickets to support the Farmer's Market annual "Fields Of Promise" Dinner [August 13, 2016] at Thomas' Cotton Gin on GA 15 South of Watkinsville!

Each year the Oconee Farmers Market hosts this "farm to table" dinner with hopes of raising scholarship funds to benefit Oconee County agricultural students [FFA & 4-H], as well as seeking to foster the love of agriculture and community in our future generations.  The dinner is sourced from only Oconee Farmers Market growers & vendors and prepared by local chefs.
